Easy Pie Lunch

A pre-made baking mix, like Bisquick and Jiffy Mix contains flour, fat, baking powder and salt. It’s known as “BAKING IN A Box!” It makes baking fast and good. An impossible pie is amazing. You pour the batter on the top and as it bakes it becomes the bottom crust!

Classic Strawberry Jello Salad

One of the most beloved and timeless Jello salad recipes is the classic strawberry version. To make this refreshing dessert, all you need is strawberry-flavored gelatin, fresh or frozen strawberries, crushed pineapple, banana, and whipped topping. Simply dissolve the gelatin in boiling water, then mix in the crushed pineapple and sliced strawberries. Let it set in the refrigerator for a few hours until firm. Once ready to serve, top it off with a dollop of whipped topping for an extra touch of indulgence.

  • 6 oz. Strawberry Jello (one large box)
  • 1 C boiling water
  • 20 oz. frozen sliced strawberries
  • 20 oz. crushed pineapple – DRAINED!
  • 3 medium bananas sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 8 oz. whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Whisk together Jello and boiling water in a large mixing bowl until the gelatin is dissolved.
  2. Add 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple, drained (do not use fresh pineapple), sliced bananas, frozen sliced strawberries, and pecans. Mix well.
  3. Pour mixture into a 9×13 baking dish. Put in refrigerator to set for 2 hours or over night

What is Jello???? It’s a sweet and yummy dessert made from flavoring, sweeteners, colors, and gelatine. Gelatine is derived from animal bones and connective tissues. Did you know that the State of Utah eats more Jello than any other state? The company used to make celery and tomato flavors, but no one would buy them. Jello can be used for finger painting, hair dye and edible play dough. Feb 12-18 is National Jello Week. Their slogan is “There’s Always Room For Jello!”
