Meet the Greater Expectations Program Director

Hi! I am Beth Orth-Voegeli, the Program Director of Greater Expectations. I have worked with individuals with special needs for over 30 years. I am a certified Special Education teacher and have taught special education for 21 years.

On the home front, I am a busy mom of eight kids and two grandchildren. Six of my kids are grown and have homes of their own. The youngest two are still at home with me. Two of my children have autism. Matt has made the transition into adulthood and lives in a group home.  Tristen is still in school.  She has more significant needs: nonverbal and seizures.

As an educator and mother of individuals with special needs, I have a unique perspective that enables me to access theory and apply it to real life situations.

I am super excited to work directly with individuals. I enjoy teaching and am eager to build relationships, set goals, and achieve dreams!

"Since my daughter has started going to the Connection’s Club at Autism Avenue, I have seen that she is more willing to talk to people without being “scared”. She also has worked the counter a few times (I was honestly shocked that she did as well as she did). Lexi has also opened up and started talking to other people besides her those in her “comfort zone”."
