Peer Support

Peer Support for Persons with Disabilities

We offer the opportunity for people with disabilities to meet and gain support from others in similar circumstances, as well as socialize with peers. Peer support is offered in groups or individually and is based on each person’s needs.

Parent 2 Parent Peer Support

ILRC offers a chance for parents of individuals with disabilities to get together and discuss their difficulties and solutions for working with their family or care recipients with disabilities. It is available in English and Spanish so that everyone can participate and understand.

Parent 2 Parent support offers a variety of resources, education, and training to parents, family members, caregivers, and others who share an interest in improving the lives of adults with disabilities, chronic illness, or special healthcare needs.

Parent 2 Parent support maintains the capacity and/or ability to match parents with diverse experiences, including but not limited to ethnicity, culture, race, language, socio-economic status, or disability.
